An inclusive approach to life maximizes participation, unleashes potential, and multiplies possibilities. The key to its success is authenticity. An environment that lacks integrity creates fear, doubt, and restrain. When we show up authentically, we invite others to do the same and that's when the magic happens.

EQUITY- Believing Is Achieving
Equality begins with the belief that every person has value and should be afforded an unhindered opportunity to succeed. Equality also demands continuous assessment of systems to ensure EQUITABLE access to opportunity for all. Let’s take a closer look at our systems to reveal any barriers to opportunity and determine how they came to exist and how to eliminate them. What will we do with new revelations? Acknowledgment is both powerful and healing, yet we need to go further and stop the perpetuation of biased thoughts, words, and deeds that create barriers to opportunity.

DIVERSITY- The DNA of Thriving Organizations
Diversity is about bringing unique gifts and talents to the table, not simply reserving a seat for it. Diversity is the ‘secret weapon’ for an ever-changing socio-economic climate when deployed by masterful leaders seeking to promote authenticity. Our very existence as a species depends on variance - difference. It's time we celebrate and capitalize on those differences for they are the DNA that fuels the creativity necessary to thrive as organizations.


Leaders provide purpose, direction, and motivation. Despite what we have learned over the past 20 years, many leaders still associate their positions with POWER and when we focus on power we often overlook the importance of EMPOWERMENT.

EMPOWERMENT 2- Unleashing Potential
Embracing empowerment through the assignment of authority. Examine new and unique ways to assign authority to all delegated responsibilities and create opportunities for you to be more effective and efficient.

There are opportunities in every challenge and in these uncertain times, silence and indifference have led to intolerance and mistrust. This has seeped into the workplace. Particularly as leaders, we must decide who we are and what we believe or risk being defined, misrepresented, and misunderstood by others. If we lead by example, that example needs to correctly reflect who we are.

AUTHENTICITY 2- How I show up
How we "show up" matters and when we do so authentically we fill the space we occupy with confidence and trust. In this space, our relationships, activities, and conversations THRIVE - anchoring principles tied to the inclusivity mission statement that best serve the individual, organization, and community as a whole.

The flow of ideas and information creates opportunity and enthusiasm. This is ENERGY that accelerates success! Do not attempt to harness it, support it. Encourage it and let it move freely IN EVERY DIRECTION throughout the organization.

Become mindful of your language and the energy it produces. Learn to speak your thoughts with intention and master the positive power of your spoken word. Your thoughts become your words and words your actions, therefore YOU ARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE.

INTEGRITY- Let's Get It Together
When you try to be all things to all people, you end up being nobody to yourself. Fragmenting ourselves to meet the needs and expectations of others has become too common. These socio-economic and highly charged political times challenge us to be honest with ourselves and others - often resulting in us choosing safety over integrity. This incongruency affects all aspects of our lives at home, play, and work. Let's "get it together" to speak and live our truth.

A LEADER'S INTENT- It's all about the WHY!
A Leader's Intent empowers initiative, improvisation, and adaptation through inevitable change by providing the WHY and guidance of what a successful conclusion looks like.

BIAS- Changing Our Minds
Despite our best intentions and inclusive beliefs, we ALL have biases. Unfortunately, we may not be aware of the stereotypes that influence our behavior and therefore make choices that favor some and exclude others. Fortunately, we have the ability to identify, acknowledge and challenge our bias to form new thoughts and perceptions - literally changing our minds with regard to how interact with others.

I AM - An Exercise in Discovery
Who are you and what do you believe? Many of us have become numb to feeling misled or uninformed and have chosen to ignore issues and behaviors that we might otherwise take issue with. Indifference and silence must no longer be considered appropriate responses. Either we choose to define who we are and what we believe, or risk being defined in a way that is not congruent with our beliefs. In these uncertain and misleading times, we must articulate, speak, and live our truth.

SELF SABOTAGE- Breaking The Cycle
This is a game-changer! Falling short of a goal or objective is not uncommon and actually, necessary for personal and professional growth. When it happens nearly every time we are involved with a project, we need to examine the "phenomenon" further. We begin with the common denominators - the first one being us. Let me say with confidence and experience, you can learn to change this cycle of self-sabotage with a few simple steps.

FIND- Our Truth and So Much More
Master the transformative power of your truth with my FIND (Fear, Integrity, Navigate, Do), methodology. Identify FEAR, INTERROGATE reality, NAVIGATE experiences, and DO what aligns with your authenticity. Fear is a fraud - a manifestation of something we are unwilling or perceive to be incapable of doing. There's no truth in fear.

THIS NO LONGER SERVES ME- The next best choice
Identify and reassign valuable energy that is misplaced on people and things that no longer serve you. Our hearts and minds become like closets and garages filled with old things we no longer need. We worry that they will be important again, that they are needed to sustain us right where we are at but, in the time it has taken you to read this paragraph, you have already moved past where you were! Let go. Create some space. Welcome new relationships, opportunities, and adventures that are anxiously awaiting your attention.

MICRO-AGGRESSION- There's nothing little about It
Humor and sarcasm are often hiding places for aggression. Microaggression is a term used for frequent brief verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative attitudes toward stigmatized or culturally marginalized groups. The use of humor and sarcasm make it challenging for others to determine if it is a conscious or subconscious action. Regardless, there's nothing little about microaggression.

INTERSECTIONALITY- A walk in their shoes
In the business world, understanding intersectionality is an essential part of practicing inclusion because it defines how different facets of identity contribute to our unique perspective and team participation, as well as the ways in which different types of discrimination overlap with one another. Perhaps "a walk in their shoes," will help us acknowledge that everyone has their own unique experiences of discrimination and oppression and we must consider everything and anything that can marginalize people – gender, race, class, sexual orientation, physical ability, etc.

PRIVILEGE- This may sting a bit
I remember the first time I was informed of my white privilege. Let's just say the conversation and reflection that followed revealed for me, a conflict that needed to be resolved internally so that I may navigate this new truth. I'll share my experience to shed light on a social and economic wound that's gonna sting a bit.
